POESPUBLIC data base

The POESPUBLIC data base is one of the outcomes of the Contemporary Poetry in Public Space: Intervention, Transference and Performativity, a research project which preceeded POEPOLIT, and which was also funded by the Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad of the Spanish Government (FFI2012-33589).

This project ran from 2012 until 2016 and involved a wide-ranging, international team of specialists in literary and cultural studies from eleven universities across seven different countries. The data base can be accessed here: http://bd-poespublic.org/nc/en/search/.

The principal aim of the database is to provide orientation – bibliographic and otherwise – to scholars who approach the field of contemporary poetry from a perspective not limited to highly-specific linguistic and cultural coordinates and who attempt to analyze the critical and public conditions of the new poetic practices.

The POEPOLIT project will add documents on poetic practices in circulation, as well as methodological and theoretical-critical studies on the relationship between contemporary poetry and politics in the Western context to this database.
